About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for native English speakers to teach oral English to primary school students (Grades 1 to 3) in Hangzhou and other cities across Eastern China. This position focuses on interactive, play-based learning, allowing teachers to engage students through songs, games, and storytelling rather than traditional textbook drills.
The role offers an exceptional work-life balance with fewer than 15 teaching hours per week and absolutely no fixed office hours. You will only need to be on campus during your scheduled classes, leaving you with plenty of free time to explore the local culture.
You will collaborate with local co-teachers and participate in occasional school community events, such as English festivals and language corners, to foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements
- Native English speaker from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland.
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience OR a completed TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate (120+ hours).
- Clean criminal background check and good physical health for visa processing.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and creative approach to teaching young children.
