About the role
Myanmar International Academy is looking for an experienced Secondary Science Teacher to join its campus in Mandalay. In this role, you will teach Year 8 Science and prepare Year 10 students for their IGCSE Chemistry and Biology examinations.
The position runs from October 1, 2026, to May 28, 2027, with a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule. You will teach a maximum of 24 periods per week, focusing on developing students' practical, analytical, and scientific skills in a well-equipped laboratory environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science Education, or a related field
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching IGCSE, Edexcel, Cambridge, or UK curriculum
- Strong knowledge of Chemistry and Biology
- Proven experience teaching secondary school students
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Experience in an international school setting is preferred
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards is preferred
