About the role
Myanmar International Academy (MIA) in Mandalay is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Secondary Science Teacher to join their international team. This role focuses on teaching Year 8 Science and Year 10 IGCSE Chemistry and Biology.
The successful candidate will design engaging, practical science lessons that foster students' analytical and problem-solving skills. Key responsibilities include preparing Year 10 students for their IGCSE examinations, maintaining a safe laboratory environment, and collaborating with other educators to support a diverse student body.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Science Education, or a related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching IGCSE, Edexcel, Cambridge, or another UK curriculum.
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and Biology.
- Experience teaching secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passport holder from a country eligible for a Myanmar Business e-Visa.
Salary & benefits
