EAP English Instructor Needed in China
About the role
Victoria University English is seeking qualified instructors to deliver classroom-based English for Academic Purposes (EAP) programs at partner institutions in China, including Liaoning University in Shenyang and Henan University in Zhengzhou. Starting in February 2027, the initial appointment spans two academic semesters with options for renewal.
In Shenyang, educators teach Year 1 undergraduate students within a joint business degree program, helping students advance from IELTS 4.5 towards IELTS 5.5. The schedule runs Monday through Friday with a maximum teaching workload of 18 hours per week, structured as two classes meeting five times weekly.
New arrivals receive 7 to 10 days of complimentary hotel lodging alongside a monthly housing allowance. The institution also covers health and travel insurance, round-trip economy flights annually, and reimburses visa and residence permit processing expenses.
Requirements
- Qualified English language teacher capable of delivering university-level EAP
- Commitment to a two-semester teaching contract beginning February 2027
- Relevant degree or professional teaching credentials for higher education instruction
