SEND Tutor – Private Tuition, Birmingham, UK | GBP 40+ + Flexible Schedule
About the role
Love2Learn Education is seeking compassionate SEND tutors across Birmingham to offer bespoke one-to-one educational instruction to young people with diverse additional needs. Instruction primarily takes place in learners' homes, with occasional online sessions available.
Tutors design individualized lessons spanning primary through GCSE levels, working primarily after school hours alongside some daytime slots. The role requires applying student-centered and trauma-informed methodologies, maintaining concise progress logs after every lesson, and actively cooperating with families.
Based throughout the West Midlands, tutors travel across Birmingham to meet students, supported by the city's convenient transportation network.
Requirements
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring pupils with SEND
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized teaching credential
- Competence teaching across multiple key stages and academic subjects
- Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (including barred list check)
- Two professional references
- Willingness and ability to travel across Birmingham
- Experience with Makaton, AAC, dyslexia, SEMH, or EHCP contributions preferred
