About the role
Highgate International School Thailand is seeking an inspiring Head of Physical Education & Sport to lead athletic development across both primary and secondary phases. Following the opening of its Pre-Prep and Junior School in 2026, the school expands with a Senior School in August 2027 on a purpose-built campus in Chonburi.
The successful appointee will design and oversee a forward-thinking sports and physical education curriculum that exceeds English National Curriculum standards. Core responsibilities include managing competitive fixtures, running extracurricular sports programmes, coaching school teams, and promoting lifelong fitness and wellbeing across the school community.
The role also involves leading and mentoring the PE faculty, overseeing department budgets and state-of-the-art facilities, and tracking student athletic growth to ensure both high-level competition and inclusive participation.
Requirements
- Experience in or suitability for a Head of Department leadership role
- Ability to teach and lead across primary and secondary age groups
- Expertise in delivering physical education aligned with or exceeding the English National Curriculum
- Capability to organize competitive fixtures, tournaments, and co-curricular sporting activities
- Proven skills in departmental budget management and team recruitment or mentoring
