About the role
Highgate International School Thailand invites applications for the position of Head of Library Services. Located on an expansive campus in Chonburi, the school operates in partnership with Highgate School UK and Siam Motors Group, expanding into secondary education with the opening of its Senior School in August 2027.
The Head of Library Services will provide strategic direction for the Library & Media Centre across all year levels. Responsibilities encompass curating and cataloguing comprehensive physical and digital collections, embedding research and information literacy into school life, and cultivating an enduring enthusiasm for reading and academic integrity.
Additionally, the role holder will coordinate literary events, lead and evaluate library personnel, manage departmental budgets, and collaborate closely with academic leaders to support student inquiry and independent study.
Requirements
- Suitability to serve as Head of Department overseeing whole-school library services
- Experience supporting both primary and secondary learning environments
- Expertise in cataloguing, collection management, and digital media resources
- Ability to teach information literacy, research skills, and promote reading culture
- Demonstrated capability in managing budgets and supervising library staff
