About the role
Highgate International School Thailand is recruiting a Head of Individual Needs to oversee whole-school inclusion and learning support. Positioned in Chonburi, the school offers top-tier facilities in partnership with Highgate School, London, and will welcome secondary year groups beginning in August 2027.
The post holder will direct the identification, screening, and targeted intervention strategies for students with diverse learning requirements, including children with special educational needs and exceptionally gifted pupils. Responsibilities include coordinating formal exam accommodations and maintaining comprehensive individual learning plans.
Collaborating with teachers and school leaders, the Head of Individual Needs ensures differentiated teaching across all classes, assists with admissions evaluations, manages departmental resources, and leads a dedicated team of support staff.
Requirements
- Proven background in special educational needs, learning support, or inclusive education leadership
- Experience coordinating provision maps, individual education plans, and screening assessments
- Knowledge of exam access arrangements and classroom differentiation techniques
- Track record of collaborating with subject teachers, senior leadership, and admissions
- Ability to manage departmental budgets and lead a learning support team
