About the role
New Life International School is looking for a dedicated educator to teach a combined first and second-grade class in Kofu, Japan. This position involves delivering an American curriculum to a small group of students in a supportive environment.
Your duties will include preparing weekly lesson plans, collaborating on WASC accreditation reports, attending parent-teacher meetings, and participating in a one-week summer camp. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:40 AM to 4:00 PM.
Kofu is a picturesque city in Yamanashi Prefecture, famous for its mountain views, hot springs, and proximity to Mount Fuji. It offers a comfortable, affordable lifestyle with convenient transit links to other major Japanese cities.
Requirements
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
- Valid elementary teaching license (non-Japanese)
- At least one year of teaching experience
- Proficiency in using Google Drive
- Current residency in Japan is preferred
