About the role
Freedom English School is looking for an enthusiastic English Instructor to join their team in Kumamoto, Japan. This role involves teaching a diverse range of students, including young learners, teenagers, and adults.
Your responsibilities will include planning lessons based on the school's curriculum, assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and participating in professional training sessions. The schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, with 25 teaching hours per week.
Kumamoto, situated on Kyushu Island, is a historic city famous for its castle and beautiful gardens. It offers a great mix of city life and natural scenery, with an efficient public transit system and a comfortable cost of living.
Requirements
- Native-level English speaker
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
- Currently residing in Japan
- Teaching qualifications (such as TEFL or TESOL) are preferred
- Experience teaching young children is preferred
- Current residency in the Kumamoto area is preferred
- Valid Japanese work visa is preferred
