EAP Teachers Needed for University Business Program
About the role
QIBA is seeking an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instructor to deliver coursework to first-year students in the Hexi district of Tianjin. The academic program focuses on foundational business concepts, university preparation, and English language development to ready students for an English-medium Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
The contract begins as soon as possible and extends until early July 2027. Core learning materials are pre-arranged, though instructors have the flexibility to enhance and adapt content to meet academic goals. The teaching schedule entails up to 20 class periods per week (45 minutes per lesson) during daytime weekdays, supplemented by team planning sessions and student support.
Compensation includes a negotiable monthly salary of 14,000 RMB, an individual on-campus apartment with utilities covered (or an equivalent housing stipend), full pay during the 7-to-8-week winter vacation, and an end-of-contract completion bonus equivalent to one month's salary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Recognized TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent teaching certification
- Passport holder from a native English-speaking country (e.g., US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland) or relevant graduate/postgraduate degree
- Under 58 years of age due to work visa constraints
- Prior teaching experience (at least two years preferred)
